>Canada was caught, red handed, putting up a fraudulent advertisement on Ronald Reagan’s Speech on Tariffs. The Reagan Foundation said that they, “created an ad campaign using selective audio and video of President Ronald Reagan. The ad misrepresents the Presidential Radio Address,” and “did not seek nor receive permission to use and edit the remarks. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is reviewing its legal options in this matter.” The sole purpose of this FRAUD was Canada’s hope that the United States Supreme Court will come to their “rescue” on Tariffs that they have used for years to hurt the United States. Now the United States is able to defend itself against high and overbearing Canadian Tariffs (and those from the rest of the World as well!). Ronald Reagan LOVED Tariffs for purposes of National Security and the Economy, but Canada said he didn’t! Their Advertisement was to be taken down, IMMEDIATELY, but they let it run last night during the World Series, knowing that it was a FRAUD. Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

This garbage aside, United States is so cooked internationally. Whether it’s this, their tariffs on Brazil because of Bolsanaro, or their lashing out at India, their status as a world leader is over for generations.

Even if the Dems win the next election/if Trump dies, America has shown its appetite for this leadership (both Congress and their voters). It’s not going to go back to normal when Trump is dead and gone. Time for the world to move on

Canada has a long road ahead of us to increase trade as much as we can with China, India the EU and the rest of the world. We’ve made some good starts, but we really need to ramp up the effort even more. 

Probably time we become a more pragmatic nation.

Especially infuriating because it’s becoming harder and harder to imagine Trump lifting any of these tariffs (i.e., when he imposes a tariff, it seems to stick), while knowing that retaliation would only end up worse for Canada – so we kind of just have to accept this.

Logistically, I really can’t think of a worse time for Carney to be out of the country for 9 days. I know that there’s work being done, but with the Budget coming in a week and now with these trade war escalations, I imagine it is much harder to respond to (both publicly and behind the scenes).

For high conflict narcs, go low contact, walk away from the negotiationg table, deal and trade with others, make new allies and trade deals,focus on national independence, govt funding to cope and commiserate wirh world allies. China, India, Venezuela. All these countries know what dealing with this narc leader is like. If we are benefiting from free trade, we are targeted.

Take breaks from contact with Trump, travel to other countries for trade and focus on what you can control (Canadian economy, internal and international trade with others).

Reel all premiers in and stop.letting emotional.hot head Doug Ford inflame DT. Think ST and getting the best deal with the devil over the next 3 years. We can change it later.

Dont fight or retaliate. Narcs are already prone to start conflict and he will double tax or double punish you for the next 3 years causing a deathblow to our economy. Dont stir the pot. Negotiate on issues you can win and walk away from issues that you are too far apart on.

Dont let narcs see you suffer. Encourage Elbows Up, protectionist consumer spending on travel, shopping and boycotts.

You cannot win with a strong inflexible narc bully who seeks you destroy you. He enjoys hurting others. You have to avoid them dodge and weave, take the least and least damaging shots and survive and outlast until they fins someone else to pick on.

Narcs are extremely insecure, jealous competitive and think they are the best at everything when they are not. Stroking their ego, sucking up, pandering and avoiding issues that wound their ego is key, so they don’t get angry and retaliate. These are coping strategies. There is no winning with a narc, just coping, surviving, biding time and outlasting.

Carney is using all the right strategies when negotiating, dealing and socializing with a high conflict narcisisst. Carney needs to consult with a psychologist specialized in dealing with narcissists. Psychology strategy not economic strategy is what is needed…..

This could be all be avoided if our politicians didn’t act like children. Our economy is much smaller than the US and we’ve already seen devastating effects from the tariffs. I’m no PP fan, but from an economic standpoint Carney has done nothing and we keep losing jobs. Most Canadians don’t understand business and won’t realize the effects until tax revenues fall and we start to suffer.

The only thing driving growth in Canada the past few years even has been government spending. We can’t innovate and our red tape makes it impossible to start businesses here.

Plus stupid policy like EV mandates when no infrastructure is being built out is silly.
