      If people out there feel they need to protest their dissatisfaction with the government then let them. This is a democracy people should be able to vote how they want.

      I don’t think Jim Gavin ran a great campaign but that doesn’t mean we should Repeal the GAA!

      Theyre opposed to the Equal Marriage Referendum. The people pushing this are homophobic and racist bigots. If anyone is considering supporting these people or agree with some of their talking points, check yourself. They use wedge issues to spread hate and turn people towards hate. Support progress, not those that divide and want to turn Ireland backwards.

      Spoiling a ballot *is* ‚voting properly.‘ The electorate has only two options to express dissatisfaction with the choice of candidates presented. Spoil a ballot paper or decline to enter a ballot paper at all. Declining to vote is easily interpreted as simple laziness or apathy, whereas spoiling ballots is quite obviously an active expression of a point of view.

      IDK why they used all those words and invective and colours, if I’m parsing it correctly with the Adult Human Female and double NOs on last year’s referendum (why include that? sure that was the result!) it looks like they maybe wanted to vote for Steen and if that’s the case they could have just written her name in and been done with it. Fucking TERF bollockology anyway.

      The point is to to show dissatisfaction with the government, the last presidential election in France between far right Le Pen and macron had a 9% tally because people were dissatisfied. They call it the “ballot blanc.”
