Going to be an awkward one when Turkey finally joins
They’re going to adress the settler colonism of the Turks?
I only hope that it can be converted to a monument for unification eventually…
The ultimate form of a stern grave concern letter – memorative status
Its amazing how Turkey screwed it all up:
1. Greece under military junta, in Cyprus greeks attempt ethnic cleansing
2. Turkey as a guarantor steps in, invades some of Cyprus stops violence
3. Greece junta falls and democracy kicks in, Everybody is on Turkey’s side
4. But Turkey can’t just stop there, needs to turn this into a huge mess and invades further. But doesn’t invade it all either. Now everyone mad with Turkey and they have divided country and political mess for decades to come.
I hope the monument reflects all that.
