You have the right to move those barriers. Only garda barriers are legally enforceable.
Crazy..I would be in there moving barriers , standing in their way until they make space for me to get out. If you can’t get to work, they can’t work.

I had this happen before, they eventually stopped putting the barrier back after they had to get it from the ditch. Threaten to call the fire marshal, or just do call them. Blocking emergency access so completely is a no no.

Pick up those barriers and f ck them in the ditch
Are you sure you didn’t get a flyer in the post with the notification on it… these often get mistaken for junk mail and end up in the bin
They would have sent letters informing you of this. Not their fault you ignored them however the likely could have arranged their barriers and equipment to only block one direction on the road.
