Ich habe ein Austauschsemester im Ausland absolviert und kürzlich festgestellt, dass ich einen der Kurse nicht bestanden habe. Die Professoren hatten uns ermutigt, an der Vorlesung teilzunehmen, aber sie erwähnten nie deutlich, dass ein Nichtbestehen oder Nichtbestehen der Vorlesung zum Scheitern führen würde.
Jetzt habe ich meinem Professor eine E-Mail geschickt und gefragt, ob es eine alternative Option oder Möglichkeit gibt, das wieder gutzumachen, aber ich habe große Angst davor, was als nächstes passieren wird. Wenn dieser Fehler registriert wird, kann dies die Übertragung von Studienleistungen erheblich erschweren und möglicherweise sogar dazu führen, dass ich ein Semester in Indien wiederholen muss.
Hat jemand so etwas schon erlebt? Was soll ich tun, während ich auf die Antwort des Professors warte, und wie gehe ich mit meiner Heimatuniversität um, wenn es nicht klappt?
Das war auch das Kursmodul, also denkst du, dass es verdient ist?

What did you think would happen if you didn’t complete the tasks? Failing seems like the logical consequence of not doing the work, doesn’t it?
That’s very common in Germany, professors usually don’t have to state that explicitly. I’m doing my Erasmus right now outside of Germany, and I’d say it’s also up to each student to inform themselves about the exams and requirements of the university they are attending.
We’re adults studying for a degree, so we should be able to research things and ask questions when needed before it becomes a problem. I’m still sorry that this situation has made things more complicated for you.
Do you need this course or was it just something you did out of interest. You obviously won’t get any credits if you didn’t do all the work and I don’t think the professor will give you any alternative options, why would he? But your home university must have told you which courses they expect you to pass, so if this isn’t one of them there’s no need to worry. If this was a course you needed and you just didn’t complete all the work required (which is listed in the description), that was your fault and you’ll probably have to retake this course. But would you need to repeat a whole semester because of one course? Just do it again on top of everything else you need to do next semester.
