      Just when you thought it couldn’t quite get any worse for him, something else comes out of the woodwork… if he was part of my family, he’d have had a proper kicking and then be dropped off outside the nearest Police station a long time ago. The best thing he can do now is quietly disappear…

      … although I’m sure he knows of an island in the Caribbean somewhere he could go to so we don’t have to hear from him again /s

      We need some sort of reform of the royal family. I am not sure what that looks like but clearly the current arrangement is not favourable to the general populace of the UK, harshly exposed by this nonce.

      No one should be surprised! Nevermind Andrew, but every individual in a position of power (Royal, Politician etc…) will and probably have done something morally questionable or damn right illegal and foul (looking at you Andrew) that betters themselves over others…

      It’s simply not good enough that a British citizen can avoid all accountability for any wrongdoing or criminal wrongdoing because they are the son of a late monarch. Amongst all the other serious problems we face as a nation, we do not need an absolute liability in an institution that represents us as Head of State.

      The queen ruled with dignity, integrity, character, and protocol. With all due respect to her, she dropped the ball big time in coddling Andrew. Her blindness is now the royal family’s headache. What a terrible oversight

      Mildly interesting that much of the reporting can be sourced easily from the BBC as here (rather than eg the left wing/republican Guardian or salacious pitch-forking red tops) without much coy Royal family deference…

      I find it hard to comprehend the utter stupidity of conservatives that think wealthy people have scruples and decent people. Many wealthy get rich by not having a moral base or moral code. That’s why they are rich. The basic tenet is that you get rich by using other peoples money, not by spending your own. It’s not rocket science.

      # Prince Andrew took money from firm linked to ripped-off pensioners. Not sure why the BBC gave him money but this tracks with others?
