My bet is they were judged on paperwork, projected results and no real time scenarios whatsoever

For the digital platform, not for the actual roads.

Take this as a constructive question: what’s the added value of a screenshot as opposed to a link?

It seems like a stretch to say „Transport Malta“ has won anything here, the only listing on the awards page is „TRL“ which is the UK company who built the tool they won the prize for. Transport Malta’s involvement seems to be nothing more than just ordering a product from them.

      >TRL Software has successfully rolled out a new digital pavement asset management system for Transport Malta called TM Roads, to enhance roadworks coordination and public transparency across the island’s transport network.

Also, these types of Industry Awards are more often than not requiring paid membership in some organisation to be able to compete in.

With the way these things work, a software vendor will nominate their customers to some random awards ceremony where they hand out several awards. TM is the customer in this case. It is just a PR stunt which is normal for such a relationship.

    5. Have you ever used another country’s digital government system?

Malta’s digital services in my opinion, really really good.

I mean, isn’t the street works management here really good?

I saw they worked on the main road like a year ago during night and by morning they were gone with a massive chunk of newly laid asphalt. In Denmark that road would’ve been shut for a month for the same work.

    7. What a load of bull and tge award is worth even more bull. They take drivers in malta for idiots.

They should have come and spent time sitting a car before handing out the award. I just spent 1.5 hours sitting in my car in almost stand still traffic driving from Paola to B’kara.
