For context, the law: 15-25% pay cut is possible annually to be determined unilaterally by the government.
This is in addition to new legal requirements for a mandatory 5 year public return of service following residency and a permit system that penalizes physicians 30% of their total pay if they work outside their prescribed region.
The only surprise is that this hasn’t happened before now.
