Stuff like this is why pro Palestine protests are still needed. I see so many complaints here every time there are protests – „but we’re already a pro Palestine country“ – but despite the views of the majority, our government has done sweet fuck all bar pay lip service to it. OTB just keeps getting pushed back and watered down.
MM and Simon are great for the soundbites on the subject, and while I appreciate it’s more than a lot of Western countries have done, articles like this prove its just a load of hot air.

Where can I find the evidence to support this claim?

I’ve been using the „No Thanks“ app to make responsible purchases. What are we actually importing from IL?

Remember this tomorrow when you go to the ballot box. The revolution starts tomorrow at 10:01pm when the exit polls proclaim Connolly as our new President.

Is there a link to this report and can we get full transparency of who funded the research for the report?

This is mostly Intel importing for their Israeli subsidiaries

If we start jeopardising FDI without a transition plan, we’re fucked.
People argue we need to stop this to punish Israel, it won’t punish them at all, it will punish us.
The companies dealing with them will simply transition from Ireland and continue elsewhere.

Intel and pharmaceuticals. Intel has an assembly plant there if I remember, though I did hear Intel is having problems there. Tough to get parts in with there being a war on and less staff due to military reservists being called up. Also the US wants to bring these types of jobs/work back to the US. (Biden had the same policy).
The stuff that is imported from Israel is small and high value items, so the figures make the relationship look better than it is.

Every time I’ve said this I’ve been down voted. Michael Martin has not even threatened this relationship.
He went to Israel and pointed at a hole in the ceiling while Gaza was being eradicated. He seems to fall into line with whatever NATO wants.
We are literally feeding our children the tax dollars gained from the IDF shooting toddlers for target practice as per the UN report. It’s despicable.

Yup, our economies are massively intertwined.
More Bertie brown envelopes floating about.
