Was macht 3I/ATLAS hier also wirklich?

Eine kaputte Sonde? Ein Datensammler? Oder nur ein chemischer Unfall aus dem Weltraum, der sich zufällig wie einer verhält?

    1. I think with the trajectory our society is on currently, most people are basically like fuck it… Worst case scenario a comet or a UFO takes us out, and we don’t have to struggle in a dying economy anymore…

    2. it is making the news in places. brian cox was on the BBC talking about it (in gushing terms, as is his way). but it’s no big deal to many folk, just a rock in space that’s not going to hit us, so m-s media isn’t really that interested. not with israel/palestine, ukraine, trump’s antics, trade, paedophile/grooming gangs, racism/migration etc clogging up the column inches/clicks.

They are scheduled to return 🥰

I decided to find out WHERE they are saying this „object“ is. :

„The mysterious interstellar object [3I/ATLAS](https://thedebrief.org/what-else-is-out-there-new-study-reveals-everything-we-currently-know-about-mysterious-interstellar-object-3i-atlas/) is making its [closest approach to Mars](https://thedebrief.org/3i-atlas-is-now-headed-toward-mars-as-mystery-surrounding-interstellar-visitor-grows/) today, and several spacecraft positioned around the Red Planet have already captured what may be among the clearest images obtained of [the unusual comet](https://thedebrief.org/the-more-astronomers-watch-interstellar-comet-3i-atlas-the-weirder-it-gets/).

Although 3I/ATLAS is currently on the opposite side of the Sun from Earth, making observations using terrestrial telescopes impossible, several cameras are being operated remotely on the Red Planet, allowing astronomers a rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of the object [at a much closer range](https://thedebrief.org/interstellar-comet-3i-atlas-is-making-its-way-closer-to-earth-and-new-research-suggests-it-probably-isnt-alone/).“

Opposite side of the SUN from us. So we are talking allegedly, 150million miles away. Wring your hands everybody!! Can’t be seen from Earth because, the sun is in the way, dontcha know. So they are taking „Camera pics from Mars that „can see it“. Riiiiiiiiiight. Yeah, so I don’t buy that there is anything on Mars. Every video we’ve seen of the supposed „red planet“ was taken on Earth. It used to be the Atacama Desert but lately I’ve seen reports that it is a smaller island off the coast of Baffin Island in Canada, etc. I’ve seen gum wrappers, chipmunks, bottle caps, old fence posts, blue skies (they forgot the filter), etc, in their footage. Obviously, this is a cover for money being really spent elsewhere in other unnamed budgets and this is cutrate product for NASA fanboys to wheeze over in excitement.

Something is up with the story, perhaps, or it will fizzle out as a distraction. When you can see something with your naked eye getting closer and closer like in „Melancholia“ then there will be a reason to panic over this.

      >behaves like it’s been built, not born

Incorrect. All three objects have behaved exactly like objects following orbital mechanics, with some variation due to off-gasing contingent on object composition. The first two entered the solar system at X velocity, increasing in speed as they reached the perihelion of their path, and then decreased in speed as they left the system. They exited within a difference of ~3% of their entry speed. 3i/ATLAS has so far behaved exactly like the first two.

These objects are only „strange“ in their behavior because they are relatively new to our scientific understandings. `Oumuamua was bizarre because it was the first time we saw how an interstellar object passing through our system *behaved.* Then Borisov came through and *behaved* the exact same way. According to stellar orbital mechanics. The time to start considering aliens is when an object comes in from out of system, starts approaching the sun, and is *slowing down*.

I don’t spend much time or energy concerned about 3I/Atlas.

I can’t change anything about it, and whatever is going to occur, is going to occur.

If all this was occurring pre-2019, I would be concerned about how ‚*fishy*‘ the government and media were conducting themselves. Now, I accept it as ‚*part of the show*‘ they’re orchestrating for us.

Don’t lose any sleep over 3I/Atlas, as there’s nothing you can do about it.

It’s just a bit of rock with people trying to cash in on it with podcasts etc

Do we have telescope.pics of this at all.

Can we see the tail pointing towards us?

Is it slowing like it is using counter thrust as it enters the solar system?

    10. Lifeinthesc on

Why would an alien civilization care about us? Their wants, desires, and purpose would not be based on anything that a human would be able to comprehend.

    11. So I messed around with chat Gpt and had it make a gif of 3i atlas‘ course, than I had it make a new gif assuming the sun has double gravity, it did both of those no problem.  Next I asked it to assume that when 3i atlas flew by mars it passed way closer than expected and only barely missed mars by 10,000km.  It would never show me but all the models I looked at the only way it could threaten earth is if it mars flung closer to the sun, or its being propelled by something other than gravity

People are unbelievably argumentative with it too. Only on Reddit too, iv had a lot of good convos on comment sections of videos but on here people just can’t stand the idea of you calling it anything but a comment.

So either boys or misinformed arrogant assholes
