    1. They’ll waffle a load of shite, achieve nothing, & invoice their expenses.

      For decades.

Incompetent Martin and Spineless Simon are wetting themselves somewhere.

Defence is done by the UK, EU will set our housing right … remind me again why do we need this FFFG gang? Just to preserve the look of independence?

For other countries, the EU may be seen as inefficient, self-serving, time-consuming bureaucracy.

For Ireland, they’re a source of dynamic drive and change relative to our governmemt.

I have so much more faith in the EU driving us to make positive changes than FF/FG doing it on their own initiative. The more the former get involved in an issue like the housing crisis, the better off we probably are.

Well, that’s gonna be hard to do since our whole construction industry is run by foreign investors.

The article is at odds with the headline, the EU are going to discuss looking at housing and have a committee look at proposals to put to votes and leaders. It even says leaders are split on how to tackle the issue. By the time some solutions are brought to the table it will be too late, passed by the member states and implemented it will be too late. The housing crisis has been fuelling the far right for years, kinda curious why they are only taking notice now.

Could this help Ireland at all?

Will this have any tangible effect?
