Quelle.

I was just told in another thread that tent cities don’t exist in Canada, lol.

It’s impressive how much Portugal has reduced this, as a really large amount of people migrated to unofficial suburbs outside Porto and Lisbon in the latter part of the 20th century.

Surprised it’s only 2% in Thailand tbh, while being over 20% in Malaysia. Is that accurate?

There are plenty of camps of First Nations folks in the parklands around my city in Australia. It’s certainly less than 1% of our total population, but it feels icky not to acknowledge their existence.

The US homelessness ranges between 750k-1million persons. I’m not sure if they count homeless shelters as part of these metrics?
I feel that these numbers are skewed slightly lower in first world countries by 0.2-3%.

41% of the population that was 1.425 billions people is insane. Hundreds of millions of people living in absolute squalor.

Idk I just drove through South Dakota and never seen so many homeless people in my life… and I’m from near Seattle.

I honestly think a bunch of states are just lying about their homeless population because people talk about Seattle like it’s bad but then I just drive through looking around and was stunned by the level of homelessness there

Why is it so low in Egypt, compared to the other North African countries?

Why does Ireland have a higher proportion of its population living in slums and informal settlements than Russia?

I have literally been to a slum in Spain, where the fuck did I go if not a slum, get transported to another reality? Also, you can literally see tons of slums in America on Street View, they even put wheels on them.

The slums of mumbai are a source of our misfortune. Not a tourist place to visit because you saw slumdog millionaire..

They just come to those area, take photos as if they encounter animals in safari and then give few chocolate to poor kids and pose with captions

“ No ps5, no running water, no food but see how happy they are “

“ I thought they were poor but they showed me how poverty is State of mind “

Get lost, discount mother Teresa, you are not profound .. you are just doing what your grandparents did with human zoos.

I heard similar thing happens in Rio with favella tours
