Something tells me Canadian soybean exports to China will be significantly higher.

You won’t get invited to the gold ballroom with that attitude!

I think that is a much better alternative to more tariffs.

Great now can you also get rid of import tariffs?

Easy to say, hard to do. Policy makers have been trying to achieve this for decades.

So thankful we’re not regretting not showing up to vote and ending up with a term-long nightmare of an option occupying parliament. As bad as things are, that didn’t happen to us and lawlessness and ignorance isn’t taking over our streets. We’re really so lucky to have Carney’s experience, strength and willingness to boldly steer our economic dependence on our neighbour that’s betrayed us, to seek new partnerships far and away from our shores.
I hope more Canadians would heed the call of difficult times and sacrifice he’s hinted since his liberal leadership speech, and pivot where we can and must to help our situation instead of waiting for what government can do for us. This is if applicable of course. If you’re in a position of vulnerability, find a way to get out of it; if in a stable position, how can you make it even better and possibly help others. In times of disruption, don’t just sit still; in times of crisis, everyone must do their part.

Governments can say this. After clearing bureaucratic hurdles, it will be up to business to take the initiative. If they are up to it, that is.

Illogical when even a bad deal with the richest country on earth is a good deal just due to the sheer size of the US economy.

Carney says a lot of things.
He tends to do the opposite of what he says he’ll do.
