So, he’s telling people that he didn’t say the things we have video of him saying.
I stand by my previous statements about Pierre – he is a deeply unserious individual who is utterly unsuited to lead anything.

I’m confused. Is this not what he said? How is that not saying he thinks Trudeau should be in jail?
Technically… he didnt say that Trudeau should have been in jail, he did infer that by breaking the criminal code, that needed to happen.
So hes not wrong, however we all know what he meant.
Just like Trump he veils his language just enough that he can deny he said it in absolute terms, but his true believers take the message to heart.
Can someone read his quote back to him. He is lying.

Still, a more precise question could be „based on your comments, *do* you think Trudeau should be jailed?“ I also think it would be fair to ask whether he would direct or in any way pressure the RCMP to reopen the Trudeau era investigation.
His claim that he was referring to former Commissioner Lucki when he said the RCMP leadership is despicable is also problematic. For one, he said „is“ despicable, not „was.“ Also, it’s odd to refer to one person as the „leadership“ of an agency – it suggests more of a group, presumably including the deputy commissioner (who is now commissioner).
When will the CPC tire of this act already? Haven’t we all had enough? This guy hasn’t had one moment of success since becoming leader and has had some epic failures (blowing 25 point lead, losing his own seat, being gifted a new one by Carney and his party, etc).
