Germany has agreed to purchase 2 billion euros worth of Spike anti-tank missiles from Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
The missiles will be produced by Eurospike, a joint venture between Rafael, Rheinmetall, and Diehl.
Most production will take place in Europe, helping Rafael navigate geopolitical restrictions while marketing the Spike as a European product.
Rafael’s Spike missiles seem to be very popular among NATO militaries. With at this point around 20 NATO countries buying them and the US Army recently finishing successful tests which would probably see [the US buying them as well](https://en.globes.co.il/en/article-lockheed-martin-to-sell-rafael-spike-missiles-to-us-army-1001520801).
Well, t Germany already using Spike for many years. Although title saying „Rafael“ but that already 80% German missile 🙂
