I’m optimistic about the Jays in the World Series but not optimistic enough to believe we’re getting a trade deal at the same time.
Even if there is a deal, no one’s buying American crap like we used to. Expect a trade deficit again Mr 🍊(not that that’s even a bad thing but fuck face thinks it is)
Edit: That doesnt mean the people are buying it. It means American owned buisness are putting it on the shelves in Canada.
Edit for other(goliad) guy who blocked me: They have been rotting on the shelves lol And we throw them out and they keep getting ordered by the american controlled board of directors lol. Some american items still being bought cause they are good but most things get tossed or sit on the shelf collecting dust. Example of usa things ppl still buy: laundry detergent, toothbrush brush, tooth paste, cleaning stuff for kitchen and bathroom, bar soap body soap. Basically cleaning shit is the only good stuff they make with no good alternative.

It’s also „possible“ I’ll step outside and get struck by lightning. I have a lot of faith in this government but I have 0 faith in Trump’s regime to be reasonable. I’d be surprised if this goes anywhere
And there he goes again with raising expectations. Carney, stop doing that. By doing this, if we don’t get a deal next week, you’ll look like you’ve failed and there will be more pressure on you to get those elbows back up.
I don’t understand why Carney continues to signal potential future happenings regarding to Trump, as if any headway or progress is unreliable & therefore subject to instant change at any point. Why not simply assure everyone things are going well without giving a strict timeline and then if something does happen it’s a happy surprise.
There’s no real strategic win from this. If we do get something within the timeframe put out, then that’s fantastic, but it’s not like him stating it a week before makes it multiple times more effective for him.
He stands to lose a lot but gains practically nothing by doing this.
Oh my god Carney’s so annoying with this. Just announce when there’s a deal. Every time he says a deal is possible or imminent and it doesn’t come, it’s goofy af. We all know Trump is unpredictable and unreasonable and nothing is guaranteed.
