Hey Leute, ich verbringe einige Zeit auf einer Arbeitsreise im Norden und habe etwas ziemlich Interessantes bemerkt.
Nach meiner vorsichtigen Schätzung scheint jede vierte Person genau die gleiche blaue Arcteryx-Jacke zu haben. Supermärkte sind zu Stoßzeiten voll davon. Geben sie sie irgendwo heraus? Oder tragen die Leute hier einfach gerne passende Passformen? Ich bin wirklich neugierig darauf 😀

Technical sportswear is somewhat a status symbol in Norway. Shows you have an active, outdoors lifestyle and has taste/experience/money to buy useful, quality stuff that may last longer and keep you warm and dry when needed.
As for colours and models, local sporting goods store in Northern Norway may have a more limited collection of styles and colours than their flagship stores in London or wherever.
Still, and even more for men than women, people who buy expensive technical jackets may prefer neutral, darker colours these days. Bright, multicolour Gore-Tex jackets with at least 3 different colours, and one would usually be teal, were more a thing in the 1990s
They are government issued. Same with Hoka shoes and white Tesla Model Ys.
