This isn’t normal, was never normal, and never should have been normal. How did this happen in our country?

Teacher, be sure to let the kids know that this is all being done to protect them—And to discard contaminated clothing, don’t rub their eyes, flush their eyes for 15 minutes, and try to keep breathing at an even pace. Also, discard any classroom art that includes rainbows—that shit is dangerous.

    3. That’s all just a little bit of history repeating. How many remember when the police bombed Philadelphia from a helicopter? And then denied access to firefighters until four blocks burned down.

This occurred blocks from my home and the school is also the drop off location for ballots for the wards in the area. All that to say that is a very busy and regularly had a variety of Chicagoans of all types in and near the area.

The fact that this situation wasn’t met with an immediate investigation by whoever the hell “controls” ICE is a testament to how far the US has plummeted in terms of law, order and decency.

GOP supporters should be ashamed of themselves but one would need dignity, empathy and intelligence in the first place.

What the actual fuck. I didn’t think anything could surprise me at this point but this is actually mind bogglingly cruel.

ICE can’t enter the schools without explicit permission. Add a little tear gas and everyone has the leave the school, and the kidnappings can begin.

    7. Fun Fact: Tear gas is a chemical agent banned in use for war by the Geneva Convention.

So it’s !!GREAT!! that it’s a weapon of first resort for the Trumpwaffen ICEICE and that they are so vile they’ve got no problem firing it in spitting distance of an elementary school.

I remember When Alan Ginsburg was testifying at the trial of the Chicago 7, well 8, initially…

And he spoke about his experience in the demonstration and was talking about how a large group of Christians was carrying a cross and protesting when the tear gas started flying.

He was some distance from this, and he turned to the people around him and said „Oh look! They have gassed the Cross of Christ.“

I’m not sure that’s verbatim, it’s been a long time.

But either way, shit sure hasn’t changed much in Chi town.

Wow, must’ve had dozens of armed, dangerous children in that school. /s

Fuck fascism and fuck anyone that enables this domestic terrorism to continue.

    10. That’s what happens when you’ll accept anyone and give them weapons and a badge.

All the psycho incels who had just enough impulse control to not shoot up their schools joined ICE apparently.

They should have told the kids „This is what FREEDOM smells like!“

Local law enforcement needs to start arresting ICE when they endanger uninvolved innocent people for assault/battery.

In the late 60s/early 70s in the Bay Area, when the national guard was deployed to help control the growing anti-war protests (deja vu, right?), some dipshit decided that the best way to disperse a crowd would be releasing tear gas from a helicopter. They had to evacuate a daycare, a school, and a nunnery.

The tactics have not changed, the same people are trying the same things for the same reasons, only the language has changed. ICE/Homeland Security are armed forces tasked with the subjugation of ~~dissidents~~ anyone they deem a problem, and we should be greeting them in the traditional American fashion that we reserve for fascists.

Hey 2nd Amendment guys! Here’s that Tyrannical Government stuff you guys keep talking about! Here’s your chance to be the heroes/patriots/protectors you claim to be!! Who’s first?!

    16. This is your reminder that teargas has been proven in research to potentially interfere with your endocrine system permanently, and can potentially have long-term complications of making you infertile as well as other life altering permanent implications, especially when exposed at a younger age.

Must suck so much for the kids, tear gas the one day, school shooooting on another, school food is bad, education is sub standard, AI and robotics threatens their minds, careers and learning. Road to radicalisationn

Deploying chemical weapons on elementary aged children…is America great yet?

    19. Small_Cutie8461 on

We have the second amendment for a reason. And everybody’s always preaching about protecting the children, that is the perfect time to start protecting children. When right wing domestic terrorists are teargassing children, that is the perfect time to start doing whatever the hell you wanna do because obviously laws don’t matter in this country anymore let’s face it.

I’m halfway to being on my way out the door in this world, let me be the first death that sparks all of this 🤷‍♂️

Using lessons learned from active shooter drills to protect kids against their own government. This is great. Great great great
