If only we had our own navy. Not a lot of Irish people actually realise this but our waters are extremely important. It’s why both US and Russian navies have repeatedly violated our sovereign waters

Imagine if the pesky Russians cut the cables which lie off our coast, you can forget about your bank account, your phone, email, reddit or heavens forbid your television. All gone. If people couldn’t look at videos of cats etc i think this country would be a very different place – perhaps even welcoming the sight of NATO ship.
