That’s exactly why I never go to the North side of Japan, 2 years lived there, have never been discriminated like that anywhere else in Japan. Well actually once or twice in Osaka too but those were born in Hokkaido and moved to Osaka which confirmed my stereo type and explained a lot.
I’d sue
Lots of things wrong with this story. Had his residence card but didn’t show it to the officers? Why? They only found it in his belongings after? Why? Sounds like massive miscommunication. Strangely not disclosing his nationality, why?
