Israel is not suspected? Or have they never tested one but people just assume they have them?
I guess that’s the same with France and other countries, they haven’t tested them, but have them.
„Suspected“ is terrifying, in modern age we still don’t know if this happened or not and Nuclear explosions shouldn’t be easy to miss.
“Phew!” – Germany
what bs. one country got nuked and luckily the world learnt from it
France should be red as well, there were many trsts in Polynesia.
The story is that the Israelis and the South Africans tested a warhead in the sea south of South Africa (vela incident 1979)
The Japanese definitely deserved it. Germany had carpet bombing that caused firestorms beyond what the bomb was capible of. They also deserved it.
Wasn’t the suspected South Africa test in international waters?
The vela incident didn’t occur within the territory of South Africa, so I am not sure it should be labelled ’suspected‘ given Britain doesn’t get a colour for blowing up Australia and France for blowing up Algeria.
The South African/Israeli test was in international waters though right? If I remember correctly.
Would France not count because of the detonations on [French Polynesia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Polynesia)? I assume it becomes a question of how France is defined.
In fear of putting on a tinfoil hat
The map is a bit incorrect
The nuclear detonation that is alleged to be an Israeli experiment wasn’t on the continental South African territory
It was in the small inhabited Prince Edward Islands, which are controlled by South Africa but almost 2000 kilometres from the continent
The only reason we suspect that is because of a detected double flash by the Vela Hotel satellite
What was the almost for Spain?
You’re missing the Pacific Islands
Where did the UK test its nukes? Or do they just purchase them from the US?
“Almost”? Isn’t that a little subjective
Didn’t Brazil and Argentina have nukes?
Thousands of nukes have detonated.
They say now that if we were to detonate every single nuke into the deep ocean, the temperature of the ocean would not even go up 1 degree.
Can Cuba count?
I got triggered that Japan isn’t shown in red, but later saw that it is green and meant it was donated as an attack.
