      Better to get him on the way back so he either confirms Russia was at the negotiations or admits to sending a double.

      Sanctions should go as far as not reading at all with anyone opposed to the “west’s views”

      I’m not saying the west is correct but rather isolationism is just fine.

      I doubt Putin will fly over an European country without gurantees that his flight wont be forced down.

      Unless he is given a specific permission, every country who is a member of the International Penal Court should detain him, and that includes flying over those countries. That is why Netanyahu did that weird travel to get to the US, to avoid any country that would try to detain him. (We’re looking at you, Greece and Italy…)

      That is what the law say. Would they try to? My money says no. Why? Because they’re fucking bitches.

Putin flies peacefully to Budapest, EU or any other country will do absolutely nothing to interfere his flight, they talk nonsense in Budapest and negotiations leads to nowhere, Trump thanks everyone for very productive meeting, Putin flies back to Moscow without any problems. War continues.

      Not on the way out, arresting someone going to „peace talks“, even when those talks are in bad faith, isn’t a great look. When he’s on his way back, after demanding Ukraine surrenders unconditionally, again, then maybe, if he doesn’t take a different route.

      Nobody will shoot him down, but at the same time, I doubt they will take a way through Ukraine or Poland. Maybe through Romania? A unified “EU air space” is not really a thing to begin with.

      NATO just now started to think that maybe shooting drones and rockets that fly over their territory is somewhat of maybe a good idea . And no EU or Western leader has a spine to deal with any sort of consequences from actions that are not premeditated , discussed with 15 conferences and few rounds of veto-enabled votes .

      He’ll be ok in Serbian airspace, and Turkey has been pretty easy on him, so needs to somehow cross Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro or Albania? I suspect he’ll avoid Romania being so close to Ukraine.

      I’m guessing, Russia > Turkey > Bulgaria > Serbia > Hungary
