Shitty map. Light blue and grey aren’t contradictory to one another. A lot of countries should be both grey and light blue, e.g. Sweden. I assume passive euthanesia means removing something that keeps a patient alive, while active euthanesia means giving a patient something that kills them.

in Russia, you can refuse treatment if you are legally capable and all possible consequences have been explained to you, but it seems that refusing treatment is not euthanasia, so why is only Russia red and Kazakhstan blue, although it has almost identical laws, I do not understand

Light blue countries should be differentiated between Passive euthanasia – discontinuation of supporting life, that is illegal in many countries like Poland and Discontinuation of persistent therapy, when it only prolongs suffering without any hope of recovery or even only adding additional discomfort, but continuing all the life support and symptomatic treatment. Also the patient’s refusal of treatment may be considered as a form of euthanasia on demand, but it isn’t. Such a patient in a life threatening situation, will be taken to hospital without the possibility of making a written refusal for example because being uncontious, with cognitive impairment or even not having a time to rethink such a decision and will be treated anyway.

    4. Russian legal form of euthanasia is being sent to the Ukrainian frontlines 😀

      So, four options:

      1.A and B are legal

      2. A is legal

      3. B is illegal

      4. A and B are illegal

      Umm… logic much?
