>Just seven weeks after Trump imposed a 50 percent tariff on India, many of Tiruppur’s garment factories have ground to a halt, putting thousands out of work.
That’s nothing compared to the 300,000+ Americans Trump has put out of work since taking office in his second term. He is the jobs-killing president.

My Indian counterpart was quite excited about trump being elected because he was good for business. I have not had the stomach to ask about how he feels now with the tariffs and economic hardships he’s placed upon his country since.

This is why no matter how bellicose a lot of Indians were about Trump’s tariffs, India can’t just tell Trump to go f himself. It’s just a reality of how big the US market is.

We are seeing what Trump’s tariff is doing to the nations.
But there’s hardly any news of the impacts to the US as of now?
Or is there no impact at all? Any article ?

Honestly we can’t do anything about these except provide bailouts and support for these folks until we find new markets. Don’t know how the British FTA will relieve the stress but it’s hoped that the EU FTA will be a big help for these guys. But in all honesty, it’s time every exporting sector starts to move away from the US market on a war footing
