    1. Narrow it down further by „mutual combat is legal“ and I think you’re just left with Washington.

Maybe public nudity narrows it down further. It’s legal on the state level in Washington & Oregon at least.

    2. I’m surprised Ohio isn’t on there. We have recreational marijuana and as many gun freedoms as a Red State can legally give.

    3. I am not gay or married, I do not own a rifle, and I do not grow marijuana

but God damn am I proud to be living in a green territory

What’s funny is how Europeans are so much more evolved and progressive than North Americans in many areas, but in most of Europe, Cannabis is illegal. Even in the hyper progressive Nordic countries

    5. Nevada has stupid marijuana plant laws where you can only grow if there’s no dispensary within 25 miles. I’ve never heard of someone being prosecuted though.

Mexico needs an asterisk on being able to buy rifles.

Would totally prefer to buy my weed from gay 2A’s than mexican cartels

Missouri and Ohio should be on there too. Also what’s the deal with Uruguay?

I would put a big asterisk on the US states, you can’t buy a firearm from federally licensed firearms dealer if you are “an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?” Now you could make the case that owning the plants doesn’t mean you use them, and you could always purchase a firearm from an individual, but still.

    9. > Areas where married gay couples can buy rifles to protect their marijuana plants

      Looks at map

      > NY, NJ, MA, CT, WA, CO, CA, IL and *I think* MD (hard to tell)

Yeah…have fun with getting that AR pictured in these states lol

Edit: also marijuana is still federally scheduled so if it’s the Feds checking in on this couple they’re still stepping in shit

Literally all of the US is incorrect in this map. Despite weed being legal state to state its still illegal federally and thus its illegal to possess weed and a firearm together. Two legal acts separately become a felony together.

Here in Montana I know of at least one lesbian couple who grow weed and are without a doubt firearm owners. So it’s not solely a hypothetical.

IN OTHER WORDS. Territories where you can legally own marijuana plants.

But in Canada, there are more hoops for weapons:

      Licensing and requirements

      * **Age:** You must be at least 18 to possess a firearm.
      * **Licence:** You must have a valid Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL).
      * **Safety course:** A firearms safety course is mandatory to get a licence.
      * **Renewal:** Licenses must be renewed every five years.
      * **Registration:** Restricted and prohibited firearms, like handguns, must be registered.

      Recent changes and restrictions

      * **Handgun freeze:**  As of October 21, 2022, there is a national freeze on the sale, purchase, or transfer of handguns between individuals.

    13. Not quite in Canada. We can only use a gun to protect our lives, not our property. Otherwise, yes, it fits.

    14. Nonaveragemonkey on

Technically.. you can’t be associated with pot and own a firearm.
Regardless of state level legislation, it’s still a federally scheduled drug.

And be addicted or a user of pretty much any drug bars legal ownership.

Yeah it’s fucking stupid, but that’s reality.

    15. modsaregh3y on

South Africa for sure you are not allowed to protect your weed with a rifle.

Yes you can buy any rifle you want if you go through the paperwork, but protecting property is not a legal right to use that rifle.

Right of life is first, and protecting property is not a valid reason to take a life. If your life, or someone elses, is in danger that’s a completely different story, but protecting property is not a valid reason for taking a life.

    16. Québec should be grey – unlike the rest of the country, it is illegal to grow marijuana plants for personal consumption.

    17. Defiant-Dare1223 on

This can be legal in Switzerland depending on the strength of the marijuana plants.

A low THC variety and it is legal.

    18. ResponsibleMall3771 on

      INCORRECT

users of marijuana are prohibited persons, meaning they are not allowed to purchase firearms.

In order to smoke weed and own guns at the same time you must lie on your background check, the form specifically asks do you use any drugs.

This would make the possession of the firearm illegal and there is not a lawyer in the country who can get you off Scott free if you get caught with drugs and guns at the same time. Including weed.

Edit my mistake the map clearly says plants. A gay married couple absolutely could grow to sell to a dispensary and legally protect those plants with firearms, my first assumption was they were smoking it cuz who the hell grows weed and isn’t a stoner.

I mean, using a gun to defend yourself in Canada will get you a nice long prison visit, but I guess lol

Bringing a whole new meaning to „a man who lays with another man shall be stoned“.
