Ich habe einen Zug der Deutschen Bahn von Brüssel nach Basel SBB mit Umstieg in Köln Hbf gebucht. Die Transferzeit beträgt 40 Minuten.
Ich habe irgendwo gelesen, dass die DB-Züge heutzutage ziemlich viel Verspätung haben.
Was passiert, wenn ich den Anschlusszug verpasse? Muss ich noch einmal ein Ticket von Köln nach Basel buchen?

No, you can just take the next available train instead. Might take you much longer though.

If you booked the whole trip on one ticket, you can take any other train from Köln to Basel. (If your expected arrival time is more than 20min behind schedule, your ticket is for every train in Germany, except Flixtrain, Thalys/Eurostar and other private companies.)
