    1. Members of Generation Alpha are yelling the numbers “six, seven” everywhere from TikTok videos to classrooms. The bizarre, meaningless viral meme, which comes from a popular song by the rapper Skrilla, was parodied in the satirical cartoon “South Park.”

Until the episode last night I had never even heard of this. And I’ve got a kid. I thought it was just something South Park made up.

Yet more evidence that the youth have lost their minds. We are speed running into a dystopia where people are more and more just brainless zombies repeating what they see in their algorithms

My kid (5th grade) has been saying this recently and his whole class parrots it. I was told it was made viral by some kid on YouTube and then caught on.

Such an intense take. It’s just a silly thing kids are doing like all the other silly things that’s caught on over time. I meme with my teenage cousin all the time he dies laughing. Everyone is so serious leave the kids alone!

No idea what it’s supposed to mean but my neighbors kid yells it every time they try to make a basket, it’s weird but not the weirdest thing I’ve heard them say.

    7. I just watched Shutter Island and have been randomly yelling Who is 67!? the past week, feels great to be part of the zeitgeist.

How to get your kid to stop saying 67: Say „Six, seven yeah! Am I right or what?“ to them.

At this point, someone just needs to take a bat to all of us. We’re screwed.

As a school bus driver I’ve been hearing 6-7 since the second week of school – our route number has 67 in it so they especially love it when the dispatcher calls us on the 2 way or when I have to call in.

Many of us drivers are saying it back to the kids which always makes them laugh.

    11. It means absolutely nothing. The kids don’t even know why they say it which is weird.

    12. its just a random dumb meme/saying for kids, we had similar things when we were kids

What a minute is brain rot the climate change nice words of memetic warfare on kids? Please play responsibly

Bro the word is in an awful place, is kids want to laugh about 67… let them laugh

    15. At least 69 meant something. 6-7 is just people pretending something is funny enough til it is

    16. I thought it was just the old British saying for confusion. Someone saying, „It’s all 6’s and 7’s“ Means they are confused.

I’m a teacher. I’m ruining it for my students by *constantly* making the reference. Nothing makes something uncool more than killing it *dead* with overuse.

    18. I thought it was one of those Steal the Brainrot characters this whole time.

The weird air as to how adults are really the ones “making it a thing” with the over-serious press coverage, is FAR more cringe than the kids thy say it.

Pop-culture is basically targeted to the impressionable demographics of those teens to twenties, of course younger kids pick it up. But the attempt to “decode the mysteries” of memes just cements being out of touch with them.

I loved seeing it on a recent Abbott Elementary because I knew that it was now going to be considered lame.

67 … you do me and I’ll you 2. You can keep going forward or backwards…. but 69 is reciprocal.

I have a ten year old. I knew all about 67 already and they’re couldnt’ve nailed it any harder with the kids at the assembly all doing it.
