I think this proves pretty conclusively that productivity measurements are worthless.

    2. This desperately needs to be a density plot. No way to tell what’s going on in the undifferentiated mass there.

There’s no chance someone that spends 17.5 hours on social media a day is an 8/10 productive unless their work is on social media so it shouldn’t count.

    4. How does this over-saturated scatter plot with no correlation value shown prove anything at all?

    5. From your source: „The dataset contains 30,000 real-world-style records simulating behavioral patterns of people with various jobs, social habits, and lifestyle choices“

Misleading, highly questionable external validity. How were the data simulated?

„The dataset contains 30,000 real-world-style records simulating behavioral patterns of people with various jobs, social habits, and lifestyle choices. The goal is to understand how different digital behaviors correlate with perceived and actual productivity.“

What does „simulating behavioral patterns“ mean in this context? My initial guess is that this data was not meant to be used to draw conclusions about real-world populations.

It clearly does though? You can see on the chart the values for y are wildly different depending on the x?

So is that, like, fake data?

      „Realistic Behavioral Dataset (30,000 Users)“

„The dataset contains **30,000 real-world-style records** simulating behavioral patterns of people with various jobs, social habits, and lifestyle choices. The goal is to understand how different **digital behaviors** correlate with **perceived and actual productivity**.“

    9. No buying a laptop so I can work on CAD models on my downtime at work and then realizing it can run stardew valley is what’s impacted my productivity.

    10. I don’t think this is real data. Your source doesn’t give any indication about where the data came from, but it does say:

      >The dataset contains 30,000 **real-world-style** records **simulating** behavioral patterns of people with various jobs, social habits, and lifestyle choices. The goal is to understand how different digital behaviors correlate with perceived and actual productivity.

      >Includes missing values, noise, and outliers — **ideal for practicing** data cleaning and preprocessing.

      >Use this dataset to **practice** feature scaling, encoding, binning, interaction terms, and more.
