>The rapper, hip-hop icon and business mogul has teamed with GLAAD to back Spirit Day, an annual initiative that rallies thousands of celebrities, influential voices, media outlets, studios, brands, corporations, sports teams, tech leaders and more to wear purple and show support for LGBTQ youth. This year’s installment takes place today, Oct. 16, and finds Snoop showing his support by wearing purple while having a conversation with The Voice contestant Jeremy Beloate, an out member of the LGBTQ community who competed on Team Snoop on the NBC reality series.

You don’t HAVE to do that Snoop, just treat them with respect and like people.

Dude you did Trump’s inauguration we know you’re a sell out just doing this to „save“ your image so you keep getting money. Get out of here XD

This would be a good step forward . . . if he acknowledged his previous ignorance. He has taken no accountability for putting his small mindedness out into the world, and this would’ve been a perfect opportunity to acknowledge that and to move forward. Since he didn’t, it feels like a PR move to save his „wholesome family friendly“ image.

This is the definition of performative – he’s seems pretty cool with Trump – so I don’t think he cares about queer folks.

How crazy is it that Snoop Dogg, who rapped “…Bitch get on your knees and then start juggling, my motherfucking nuts in yo mouth…” has the audacity to say an animated, lesbian couple sharing a quick kiss somehow harms kids. That’s some old, white man level of cluelessness.

If someone had told me years ago that Snoop Dogg would have a children’s show, I would have gotten an explicit lyrics sticker from all the cussing.
