      Lmao this is so funny coming from the Pentagon which DEFINITELY knows how much gay is going on in the barracks. I know it’s all hush hush and an open secret, but come the fuck on. I’ve known so many service members who talk openly once you get to know them about all the sucking and fucking going on.

      I joined the army in 91 and went to boot camp. Even though this was Marines, it brought up nostalgia. The show is still enjoyable unless you are such a huge homophobe that you can’t even exist in a reality where this could happen, because it did.

      One of the best soldiers I ever knew was super gay.
      One of the most worthless, ate-up, fucking soup sandwich fuck ups of a soldier was straight. And I still am… Mostly

      Best soldier I knew, most buttoned up, spit-shined, respectful, and professional mack in the battalion was gay AF. Nobody cared except his German boyfriend.

      I understand that these shows are primarily created because their metrics indicate popularity among a specific audience. While they may not accurately reflect reality, or at least my own, they don’t negatively impact me in any way. Then I look at the kind of people calling this “woke garbage,” and I feel like, if I really have to pick a side, I’ll go with those who are not trying to make this planet hell for the average person.
