More than half of Canadians are not opposed or don’t care about university protest encampments, poll suggests
If it’s peaceful, who cares.
Students protesting is one of the core things universities have been around for.
See: Civil rights movement, Iranian Revolution, Vietnam War, Quebec
So more than half are in support? That’s a doozy of a headline. And anyways it would be weird if people opposed camping
I like twisting stats to make points, like factually saying 54.8% more Canadians said they oppose rather than support the hamas adjacent extremist encampments.
Protesting almost seems like a recreational activity now, people will move on to the next hot CNN issue after accomplishing nothing in a few months.
Half the country approves of the massacre of 20,000 children in 3 months. Yet we clutch pearls about our residential schools (public/catholic partnership agreements).
