The way it’s going, possibilities of Takaichi becoming a PM is getting strong. At least, she’s talking about economy.

Tax cut alone isn’t going to revitalize the economy in the long run.

Unfortunately, Takaichi’s policies seems to only benefit the rich and make the rest poorer.

As Carlos Ghosn once said : *The Japanese were not afraid of negotiating with the foreigners, they were afraid of negotiating with other Japanese as they could never agree on who had the best engineering ideas.*

      *I’m the best!*

      *No, I’m the best!*

*You fools, no I’m the best!*

    3. Look it’s a shame that it seems the most boring outcome of Takaichi getting elected as pm in a minority position on the back of support from Isshin seems to be playing out.

To be fair getting Isshin into the fold who haven’t ever really been cooperative with the CDP was a tall ask, it was always a play out of neccesity for seats and a lack of presence for whatever reason in Kansai. As much as the DPFP and Tamaki play up their difference from the CDP those two parties do already cooperate as an opposition bloc already.

I remain hopefull for more fireworks and drama anyways, I’d be surprised if Isshin actually make a formal coalition with the LDP (i could be wrong) so Takaichi is unlikely to be able to pass much that’s meaningful and the next election still sets to be quite interesting. Hell even if they do become a formal coaltion Isshin have platued outside of Kansai and the LDP still won’t have it’s komeito backing and could yet lose many seats.

And yeah perhaps it’s better for the opposition not to come in with a shaky minority/unstable coalition that the LDP could spend some time campaigning against.
