to the point it will show search results dating back to 1873.
its an issue with their API library system. they used to use Pytrend’s API, which is well tested and has spent a decade as the go to for trending data compilations
google switched over to a in house API system for trends [now called Google API Alpha](https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2025/07/trends-api) and it cant properly figure out dates, so it just 0’s them out to the bottom of its avaliable display calender.
no conspiracy here. just Google outsourcing coding to Pakistan and getting what they paid for.

Check out Baron Coleman on YouTube, he has about 3 or 4 really good videos on this. He’s the one who found all of the IP stuff.
