(Die NASA ist wie ein Großteil der US-Regierung geschlossen, aber wichtige Aktivitäten wie die Suche nach potenziell gefährlichen Asteroiden können fortgesetzt werden.) Im Vergleich dazu die durchschnittliche Entfernung zum Mond beträgt 238.855 Meilen (384.400 Kilometer).
Nachdem ich vorbeigekommen bin Erde2025 TP5 wird einen nahen Vorbeiflug machen Mond Am nächsten Tag, am Donnerstag (16. Oktober), flog er bis zu 74.616 Meilen (120.084 km) nahe an der Mondoberfläche, so JPL. Es handelt sich um einen mittelgroßen Asteroiden: Mit einem geschätzten Durchmesser von etwa 54 Fuß (16 Metern) hat 2025 TP5 laut JPL ungefähr die gleiche Größe wie der sechsstöckige Asteroid Tscheljabinsk-Meteor der sich 2013 über Russland auflöste."

Is it really a critical activity having to monitor it? I mean 😢 it’s not like they could do anything even if it was on a direct path to hit earth..going out without warning sounds better than 48hrs of panic.
$25b in funding. I love NASA. It is an amazing program. Can we just maybe focus on the stuff that can end the world and give us a little more time? Once that’s clear, please go ahead and do all the other space exploration and scientific research.
The baseline should be detect and deter world ending objects. Then go and do all the other cool stuff.
