I don’t think I’d ever buy a domestic vehicle with US ownership.
This looks like an opportunity to get Chinese vehicles with modern manufacturing solutions and built here and sold at a competitive price.

They availed of taxpayer subsidies in exchange for agreeing to maintain production in Canada. This move is in direct violation of that agreement. They either need to keep production here or pay back some multiple of the subsidies they benefitted from.
