    1. Something the government can’t wrap their head around is that you need the infrastructure before doing things like mandating EVs or rapidly increasing immigration levels.

Building out EV infrastructure across the country would have been a great use for the Liberal carbon tax revenue. Instead they used it as a wealth redistribution scheme and made it political by handing carve outs to liberal strong holds. They’ve completely destroyed the publics trust in a consumer carbon price now.

If it’s easy to own an EV in Canada then more people will buy EVs, it’s actually that simple.

Like wise if the infrastructure and employment is there to support rapidly increasing immigration then the population wouldn’t even notice or care.

    2. Canada doesn’t have a car company, they are all subsidiaries of companies from other countries.

So we are going to stand up a Canadian made EV that will face high tariffs in the US, a European market with its own EVs and the Chinese dumping cheap EVs everywhere else.

This sounds like a boondoggle waiting to happen.
