Trump has turned everything upside down and I am not even angry. We saw this but the other side did not listen

They should’ve done this a week ago. Better late than never I suppose.

Why is it only Republicans trying so hard to hide the Epstein files? Seems like the Democrats all want to release them.

    3. This lady won her election and should be allowed to represent the voters–do her job.

People need to quit threatening and just start doing! Actions clearly speak louder than words.

    5. I’m not opposed to them suing Grindr Mikey for being an obstructionist asshole, but why don’t they just have a judge swear her in, and totally bypass his theocratic ass?

    6. Can we stop threatening and start doing? Dragging ass is part of the reason we’re in this mess. Their actions are definitively wrong take definitive action.

Unlike the presidency, there is no constitutional obligation on the part of Congressmen to take an oath to be seated. She won, the election was certified, and she has every right to march into DC and claim her office and her place in the chamber. When people say they’re tired of Democrats being too passive, this is exactly what they’re talking about. Democrats need to stop playing by rules that the other side wouldn’t respect. Sometimes, you need to throw your weight around a little bit to get things done. And yes, it might make a few people unhappy, but you have to be willing to make a few people unhappy if you’re fighting for something that you’re passionate about.

Have a federal judge swear her in. I read that it is completely legal.

    9. What would be interesting is a bill that said for every day they don’t have representation, their fed income taxes of the district are prorated down. 15 day delay in swearing in: income tax due multiplied by 350/365.  This will add up quick especially considering businesses in the district.

Alternate: put a penalty on it, multiply by 2X or 3X until it’s zero. Actually, you probably have to do that anyway.

    10. What realistically can happen here?

With delays the way they are, this could be tied up in court for months.

One could argue that voters in Grijalva‘s district are entitled to a full refund of the federal taxes collected from them in the time that she has not been seated.

    12. About fvking time. Have him explain in court that he’s afraid of the Epstein files.

Oh legal action! They’ll care about that!

Disrupt commerce. They care about money. JFC. They are laughing at the courts, you guys.

    14. SCOTUS: „Sorry but in 1791, a Virginia Republican congressman was unable to be sworn-in due to them having smallpox, so this is the same. It is so ordered… like beer is… in threes.“

Don’t threaten, just do it. It won’t matter in the long run because SCOTUS is just a branch of the american nazi party and will rule however trump tells them to.

    16. This legal action needs to happen the second he stonewalls. Fuck this noise.

If legal action is an option it needs to be done last week.

    17. No taxation without representation! Refuse to pay any federal taxes until she is sworn in.

“Threatens”. Cool. Just fucking do it already!!!

This is why pussy ass democrats will continue to lose forever.

Republicans keep winning because they don’t threaten anything. They do it regardless of the consequences.

Voters are so fucking tired of weak ass politicians which includes ALL DEMOCRATS.

Reminder that Kris Mayes beat her tr*mp-coddling maga opponent by just 280 votes. EVERY VOTE MATTERS!

Hey remember that time the Trump Administration got outraged at individual judges having “too much” decision power?

Now we have a single man (Mike Johnson) who is simultaneously disobeying the will of the people of Arizona, causing literal thousands to lose their jobs, and potentially causing significant harm to the economy… but are they upset at that?? Nahhh.
