Ich habe Schraubendreher von Swiss Tools mehrfach an verschiedenen Orten verwendet, an denen ich gearbeitet habe, und auch zu Hause. Bei allen Gelegenheiten gab es zwei gemeinsame Faktoren:
- Sie sind von wirklich guter Qualität und können ein Leben lang halten.
- Sie stinken.
Was zum Teufel stimmt mit dem Griff dieser Werkzeuge nicht? Ich habe Tausende von Schraubendrehern in anderen Ländern verwendet und sie hatten alle unterschiedliche Eigenschaften, aber sie stinken nie. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass es sich lohnen würde, „stinkend“ in die Bewertung eines Schraubenziehers aufzunehmen, lol
Ich wollte nur etwas mitteilen, was ich jedes Mal denke, wenn ich eines davon verwenden muss.

We usually store them with our cheese so they keep this original smell and we remember home
PB Swiss is the best regardless of the smell.

In the production of them buturic acid is used which leads to the odor if you have them someplace not well ventilated (like in a toolbox). For some years now they added vanilla to the mix to counteract it.
And yes, factory fresh pbswisstool screwdrivers smell like vanilla 😀
As per their FAQ:
When stored in airtight containers such as drawers and tool cases, handles made from the modified natural cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB) substance develop an unpleasant odor. The development of an odor is not linked to the material properties, i.e. the product remains qualitatively sound in terms of its functionality.
To neutralize the odor, we add a discreet vanilla fragrance to our CAB handles.

I would say, stop using it with dirty/smelling hands/fingers, and your good that it WONT SMELL BAD. 😁
Tldr: go wash your hands
I have PB Swiss Tools PB 53 screwdrivers (mini drivers with interchangeable blades) and even after years of use they still stink quite intensely. When you touch them the hands smell too. It’s a weird smell, kinda like very chemically smelling chocolate. I was hoping the smell would wear off after a week or so. Buy no, years later they still stink.
Tbh I always thought it was a terrible substitute for a dildo.
