A little taster of what a Reform government would be like. Uncosted populist slogans tend to wither when faced with the reality of governance.
Unless you go the MAGA route of crashing the economy whilst gaslighting the voters and using the police to threaten your opponents into silence.
Perhaps the “waste” in the system that needs to be cut is Reform itself…
I’m in no way defending Reform, but now many conservative and Labour councils have gone up?
I’m in a Labour council and CT went up this year.

Finally some genuine, well-targeted, push-back against reform from mainstream media
A good example of how Reform’s policies simply don’t stack up with reality.
It’s easy to promise the world right up until when you’re expected to deliver.
Wonder how many labour councils will be freezing council tax?
they’re finding out, just like Rachel Reeves and Labour, that its’s much much easier to be on the outside pissing in.
They are intentionally running their councils into the ground to then blame Labour and bolster their support.
Dont they all put up tax though regardless of party?
At the rate they are losing councillors and their seats there won’t be a Reform controlled council left by next year.
Yet I was told there were billions to save from mismanagement?
They wouldn’t just lie like that would they?
What a shock. Who could’ve guessed this was coming.
Council tax nearly always rises. It’s a flat amount, not a percentange, so it has to be raised just to keep up with inflation (unless you’re Wandsworth who have a magic money tree from the central government).
That question is if these councils can increase tax by less than a different council would have.
