News snippet: U.S. President Donald Trump said on Oct. 13 that he plans to focus on Russia’s war against Ukraine after establishing a peace deal between Israel and Hamas.

The statement comes as peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv remain stalled following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s effective dismissal of direct negotiations with President Volodymyr Zelensky — an initiative that Trump personally backed.

„It would be great if we could make a peace deal with (Iran)… First, we have to get Russia done,“ Trump said during his speech in Knesset, Israel’s legislature. „Let’s focus on Russia first.“

Hamas released all of the remaining 20 living Israeli hostages as part of a peace deal in Gaza on Oct. 13. The move is part of a U.S.-brokered peace deal to end the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, which has been ongoing since October

I can’t help but feel that almost four years of fighting will make a peace deal a little more difficult. But I’m still hoping for peace in Ukraine.

How about he focus on America, the country he’s trying to start a war inside of.

    4. Focus on Ukraine? Oh, so is this different to what he was doing for the last 6 months? Did he already forget about humiliating Zelensky and parading Putin around on a red carpet? More nothing-burger from the demented rapist.

    5. ELI5 why Trump was signing a peace deal between Israel and Hamas? Shouldn’t they be the ones doing the signing.

How about focusing on restarting the US govt and securing healthcare for its citizens. Dude, you’re never going to get a Nabel Peace prize. Never.

    7. If he can bring peace I’ll give him credit as credit is due. But…I’m not holding my breath.

Dude can’t focus on anything further than when Mickey D’s is being delivered.

    9. Trump focusing on Ukraine and Russia again is bad news. It is better if he doesn’t try to solve something he can’t. Putin will play him like a fiddle with empty talk.

The only realistic way this war ends is by making continued Russian aggression unbearably costly, forcing Putin’s hand. That means providing Ukraine with decisive, sustained support: precision fires, air defenses, intelligence, logistics, and training at a scale that denies Russia the ability to seize ground or terrorize civilians.

The goal is simple: shift the balance of power so sharply that the Kremlin must either stop or face catastrophic consequences, turning battlefield advantage into a durable political settlement and ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty is preserved.

Lets hope he doesn’t use the same technique as in Gaza. Wait until one side is completely obliterated, then swoop in for ‘peace talks’.

Yeah, just give him two weeks. He’ll have it totally handled like no one’s ever seen!

Didn’t Israel already say they are going to start bombing again after the prisoner release? What peace?

      Brokering Israel-Hamas deal, right…
The war would have ended with or without him. The war exhausted its goals long ago.

    15. Putin does not want peace at this point, it will be the end of him. Peace will have to be brokered behind his back and against his will. Question is, does such a movement exist in russian politics?

I just hate it when he takes all credit instead of ackowledging that numerous people ere involved in the negotiations. His brain is so addled that there’s no way he helped the process, but he’ll act like it was him and him alone that got the deal done. The man is a narcissitic nightmare.

Oh so it isn’t America First, it’s America after Israel, Iran, Russia, Argentina, a bunch of trade wars, enriching his own family, and also maybe war with Canada, while terrorizing his own citizens in states that voted for Harris.

So more like America Last, unless you’re super rich.
