Here we go.
Terrorist gonna terror.
As I said in another thread. It makes no sense to release live hostages but intentionally delay the release of bodies.
The most important step has been made with the release of the live hostages. Give them a good faith amount of time to deliver the bodies too.
It’s not unreasonable to imagine they’re having logistics issues or problems finding/retrieving them.
Hamas likely had other groups holding the bodies, and now doesn’t know how to get them back.
and then they are expected to disarm? Something amiss here.
When do people understand that there will never be peace in that area.
They always keep blaming the other for something.
Until all hostages are accounted for- whether alive or dead, there is no way to verify that all have been released/repatriated.
They said up front it would be more difficult to locate all unliving hostage
When you refuse to release a body its normally because what you did to that person before they became a body is really hard to explain…
Israel will be bombing Gaza within days.
The title here is fairly sensationalist.
“In response to the limited release of bodies, Defense Minister Israel Katz said that if Hamas were intentionally delaying the return of the dead hostages, it would be a violation of the agreement.”
That’s pretty much all that’s said here. The only calls for more extreme action at the moment are from a Hostages and Missing Families Forum.
It’s almost as if terrorist groups can’t be trusted.
To quote Bill Garnier – Band of Brothers reference
„If there ain’t no body, there ain’t no body fuckin‘ dead“
I don’t hold out hope for a second that any of these hostages are alive, but until those bodies are recovered, DNA checked and confirmed, I don’t think this matter should be shrugged off.
Is it a reason to continue armed conflict…?
Well at the moment I’d say no, but I think it comes down to the Gazan willingness to engage in finding these people. Any evasion or denial of the issue would certainly be an escalation and potential for return to conflict.
Couple this to a lack of commitment to disarm, would certainly be enough.
And just like that the peace deal is over
Why would Hamas hold onto the bodies? I bet they are under the rubble of the buildings
The rest are dead, and hamas is trying to use them as bargaining chips.
Welcome to the Theater of the Absurd
Of course. All living hostages are back. Now Israel has no reasons to hold back any more. I expected this, i’m not sure why nobody else either.
Awesome peace deal, fellas.
Different sources has had Hamas saying for a while that they were not going to 100% comply unless Israel completely leaves Gaza. This whole thing is a political one-sided act.
