    1. Commenting to find this later. I have a feeling it might be hard to find again soon.

The clans should have rounded up Hamas members and handed them over to Israel, along with the hostages they took, on Oct 8. That would have saved a lot of death and destruction.

Hamas was using hospitals and schools as cover because the Palestinian citizens allowed them to. And they all suffered because of it.

      >“This time people weren’t fleeing Israeli attacks,“ one resident said. „They were running from their own people.“

      >The Dughmush family, one of Gaza’s most prominent clans, has long had a tense relationship with Hamas, and its armed members have clashed with the group on several occasions in the past.

Wow, I wasn’t aware there were any Palestinian militias fighting against Hamas, but maybe this can help spark the revolution Palestinians need to free themselves from the terrorists who use them as human shields and do nothing to help Palestinian civilians.

Will palestine supporters condemn hamas for killing palestinians or is it now okay because israel is not involved?

The only important thing is….How do white, privileged college and university students in the west feel about this ?

Is inter-Palestinian fighting sexy enough to stage fun sit-in protests / rave parties for ? Or is there something more trendy on the horizon ? Can I still wear my boutique keffiyeh if it’s just brown people killing each other ?

    6. Reminder for all the uninformed and uneducated people here: Bibi has been propping up Hamas for years by allowing massive amounts of cash to flow to them through Israeli checkpoints. He wants this. He wants chaos. He wants Hamas to be a threat. He wants an excuse. He’s literally salivating at it.

    7. The gunfight was between Hamas and the Doghmush clan. Its notable that in March 24 the leader of Doghmush clan, Saleh Doghmush died and Israel news claims Hamas executed him.

      >Members of the clan are affiliated or aligned with various Palestinian and Islamist groups, including Fatah, Hamas, Popular Resistance Committees, and [Al-Qaeda](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Qaeda)

One thing a lot of the propaganda against Israel left out is the fact that after Israel backs off or leaves, people will still be terrorized by Hamas.

Well surprise, it’s cleaning time. Everyone who worked with the IDF is on Hamas’s to-kill list now. And the IDF couldn’t care less, they even told Abu Shabab’s militia they entered the war by their choice and have to deal with Hamas coming after them themselves as they’ll not be allowed into Israeli territory.

    10. I see that many people who comment here that ‚hamas needs to stand down / disarm‘ don’t understand shit about Gaza and its society.

If hamas (and for the simplicity  of the argument I’m talking about the footsoldiers/militants) disarms, all of them will be defenestrated within 24 hours. Their only 2 options are either stay armed and in power, or gtfo somewhere far away with insurances, and tbh I dont see what it looks like. This is not a situation where hamas gracefully surrenders with a nice speech by their general, like in that scene from ‚band of brothers‘, get to a camp for a few months and then live peacefully ever after. There will be no amnesty in tribal society, there will be no coexistance.

Just like hamas did to fatah in 2007, just like they are are doing to doghmush clan now, it will be done to them. As soon as israel pulls out there will be an all out war between clans, and whoever will come on top will do so after they’ve killed all the rest, in the most medieval way possible. I’m taking about burnings, beheadings, tying the victims to a motorcicle and driving across town until there is nothing left to bury, like they did in 2007. And this will be done by whoever gets on top, be it hamas, Fatah, some ad hoc clan aliance to whoever loses.

There is no peaceful transfer of power in the middle east.

This is a massacre that needs to be quelled with minimal use or violence or force.

    12. Hamas is fighting the Popular Forces who are led by an illiterate evil oaf and actually steal aid for themselves
