No, anybody can claim to have compromising material on you. If they actually had videos of you, wouldn’t they send them as attachment as proof that they exist

Delete it, it’s just scam.
But you should change your password for the mail account. In fact, check if your password has been compromised (there are tools for that eg in Chrome)

Lol. This is coming from an university e-mail address as it seems. Maybe you can find out what the university behind this is and file a report to that student. He may get thrown out
