He didn’t gain his empire of bankruptcies and nickname taco from being good at making deals

It’s not dealmaking, it’s being a dick and not knowing how the economy actually works. This man bankrupted more businesses than most people can dream of owning.

😂 Diplomacy. It’s grifting and bribery not dealmaking.

turns out experience in bussiness (including bankrupting said bussiness) doesn’t prepare you for geopolitics. seems all the man knows is blackmail and using hard power to get negative results for the people he governs, who knew. (everyone did).

It’s how confidently bad at this he is that is so frustrating, and just like his father, his party just keeps letting him screw up over and over and over again.
Everyone knows he’s an idiot fraud with no elite business skills, and yet this moron has the longest leash of any incompetent nitwit in modern history.

He’s *never* had the art of the deal.

Diplomacy is something you learn over a long life of public service.
Trump doesn’t serve anyone and he sure as fuck doesn’t learn.

Wasn’t he just working on a middle east peace negotiation? What happened to that? Oh right, he didn’t get the Nobel Peace prize. I guess he’s back to talking about China for now.

It’s pretty obvious that if the Republicans need to negotiate with the democrats, they’ll need to bring in Biden: backup negotiator.
Maybe Joe will help Trump. 🤷

Okay, stock markets are down which represents a buying opportunity for insiders. In two weeks, there’ll be a new deal and stocks will soar to further line the pockets of the rich.

We democratic countries, by the nature of our design, elect idiots from time to time, but what really surprises me is how those who currently hold power in the US, which is to say Republicans, are just watching this clown destroying their own country and its legacy.

„The Art of the Deal“ was ghostwritten. Donald Trump was born into wealth and privilege. He’s actually pretty fucking stupid.

Grows fragile is understatement of the day.
What Trump is doing is not diplomacy. He is just throwing wrench to China and see if that will work which of course does not and China will be no pushover as orange tie find out to his chagrin.

When all is said and done, the countries that hold the real power, are the ones that make stuff. The US has money, other countries want our money, but if things get really bad, and trade were to completely stop, they can still make stuff, and our money does nothing. Money is just a story that we all choose to believe in, and stories can be rewritten. All this time that countries have been pretending to appease Trump, they’ve also been setting up new trade deals with other countries. The damage that is being done right now will be felt for generations.

Towards the end of Trump I, there was an interview with one of the white house correspondents where the interviewer asked „So what’s the grand plan of the Trump team?“.
The correspondent paused before starting „People need to understand there is no grand plan. They look for a ‚win‘ every day, but don’t think about how today’s moves impact next year“.
It’s a great piece of insight, and you can see it play out. They call the 100% Chinese tariffs a win when they get a small concession today, but seem to be blindsided when China stops purchasing US soy next month.

Trump doesn’t deal, he bullies. He can’t manage situations where people aren’t afraid of him.
