I’m not American I remember speaking to a mum with disabled child this time last year and I told her trump will not support ur child’s education and u will regret it if u vote for him. I feel for that child after reading this , it’s who I thought of straight away.

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act is the legislation that provides for things like special education classes and Individualized Education Programs. Things meant to help disabled children learn and develop as normally as possible so they’re less likely to require government assistance in the future. You’d think the Republicans would be all for an evidence based practice meant to help train children into productive, independent members of society.
It’s what helps kids with autism, downs, and other developmental disabilities as well as severe mental illnesses like PTSD, major depression and anxiety have a place among their peers. Cutting services to such a vulnerable population is unjustifiable.
They say they aren’t nazis….the things those monsters did to the mentally ill & the physically disabled is the stuff of nightmares.
Trump said it himself. He is cancelling “Democrat Programs”, he has just handed the Dems the easiest campaign ad you can imagine.

Swap out the specific program as needed and run different versions. A lot of people only care when things impact them. If you can make enough of these for different cut programs and air them regularly, the odds are you will consistently catch some people who are impacted and remind them, over and over and over again, who did this and who to vote for to fix the issue.
The right almost always are the ones that set the media narrative because they get their messaging out, Democrats, largely, don’t. Democrats need to flood the zone. We all know they won’t.

This year is the year we all witness republicans with their masks off. No pretense, this is 100% red party in all of their glory.
I wondered what he meant about „democrat jobs.“ Wasn’t sure if it was by voter registration or department. Looks like any department that helps the public is a „democrat job.“

The administration stooges at the CDC also tried to revoke medical accommodation telework for disabled workers (to also include disabled veterans).
Once word got out that they were doing this, they had to back peddle, because it actually violated the law.
When that happened last month, I made the post that this was just a test run and not the end of it. They would target non-federal worker disabled and special needs people as well.

I know so many families who receive special education services who vote MAGA as well as a number of special education teachers who do the same. They just screwed over their children
Project 2025. Again, if you haven’t read it. It’s not that hard to find a copy of it online for free. I believe it’s somewhere between pages 300-400. I wanna say 340s.. but it’s been well over a month since I last read that section. They want to shift control of special ed to another agency.

Page 325 and onward changes to the OSERS(Office of Special Education and Rehabilitation Services) they want to move IDEA funding and convert it to block grants that are sent out by HHS
Page 330 move the Office for Civil Rights to the Department of Justice
I was guaranteed my education because of these laws/people. Saved me more than once. I’m successful today because of them. Still can’t write worth a damn but I’ll cook any of you motherfuckers under the table.
There are many people with disabled children who voted for Trump. I hope they feel a great deal of pain when the leopards eat their faces.
As a parent of a child with special needs, I have this to say to any MAGA and Republican who reads this ( Yeah, that includes any of the mods here that identify with those two knuckle dragging mindsets:
