Where’s the elite professional Arab led Stabilisation Force composed of poorly trained conscripts from autocratic regimes with poor human rights records to restore order? Perhaps the Palestine Action and River to the Sea crowd will now volunteer to do six months in Gaza defending it from colonial oppression and fighting Hamas/IS and the local gangs to stop them enslaving the local population again.
This is the reality of a nuanced conflict. It’s ugly. It’s messy. There are bad actors… Hence the protesters become relegated to the bench when they realise their utopian ideas are only an illusion because reality is not what they want it to be. Face reality & life is easier. Chase utopian ideals & continue to be disappointed.
