      „The Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Friday became the first university to reject President Donald Trump’s ‚Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education,‘ which critics have called an ‚extortion‘ agreement for federal funding.“

      Trump is asking schools to sign what can only be called a loyalty oath in order to receive funding.

      Crazy fact of the day: Thomas Massie is an MIT alum. I first learned that when he was playing games over covid and I wondered how someone that smart could play so dumb. Then I saw his Christmas Card of his entire family posing with AR-15s. I’m just wondering again why someone that smart is so fucking obnoxious.

      It’s just so sad to see someone that smart abuse their gift in pursuit of personal gain vs truth and a better society.

      Now they should show the Ivies how it’s really done and announce they will no longer accept any children of the trump regime or of republicans in Congress as students, and expel any currently enrolled. It’s not like the fascists want their kids going to these elitist institutions anyway, right?!

      The absolute crazy thing is that Trump and Republicans are incredibly weak right now. 

      All people have to do is just stand up and say “no”. It’s really that simple. 

      Trump will fold, and the organization comes out stronger. 

      Too many people are bending the knee because they think this moment isn’t going to last long and don’t want the short term price without thinking about the long term cost.

      Kudos! Great job MIT! Hold the line and do not yield to pressure to limit free speech or expression. This includes academic freedom to pursue research and EDUCATE! The left and right extremes of our republic cannot be allowed to dictate our rights.

      I guess they did the math and can make it to their scientifically determined date of Trump’s death without any government money.
