Der Prozess zieht Kohlenstoff und Wasserstoff direkt aus dem Meerwasser und wandelt ihn mit einer Tonne Strom in Kerosin um. Ein nuklearbetriebener Träger könnte theoretisch den gesamten Treibstoff, den er benötigt, aus dem ihn umgebenden Ozean gewinnen. Keine Tanker, keine Konvois, kein Drama auf dem Ölmarkt. Einfach unendliche Reichweite.
Und seltsamerweise redet kaum jemand darüber. Das ist seltsam, denn diese Art von Technologie verändert militärisch und wirtschaftlich alles.
Lässt einen zum Nachdenken anregen, nicht wahr? Jedes Mal, wenn sich die Welt einem Konflikt nähert, sprintet die Technologie plötzlich vorwärts. Aber während des „Friedens“ verlangsamt sich alles, während sie uns das gleiche alte Zeug verkaufen und es Innovation nennen. Wenn dies jetzt realisierbar ist, ist es wahrscheinlich schon seit Jahren realisierbar. Ich warte nur auf den richtigen Krieg, damit es sich lohnt, ihn auszulösen.

There isn’t any carbon in sea water AFAIK.
There are a couple of major problems with using sea water in an industrial process, the first is that you have to do something with the salts it generates.
The second problem is that sea water is corrosive, and when you heat it up, it gets more corrosive.
EDIT: Link talks about sea water having more CO2 in it than air by 140 times.
CO2 makes up about 5% of air, 20 times more than that is pure CO2.
Sure, if the jet runs off of hydrogen.
Why not just use the electricity to, you know, power the ship?
You can do all sorts of things like this, the question is whether or not they can be practically applied. You never seen all the futurology articles about amazing battery or storage tech?

Electrolysis is nothing new, and neither is the Fischer–Tropsch process. They’re spending more in energy to produce the fuel, it’s still a net loss in energy overall. It’s just useful because their jet engines use it, instead of nuclear. It’s cool tech, but it’s no breakthrough.
Yes you can split hydrogen and oxygen out of water, you can do it in your home easily. It’s not efficient.
The US Navy is our real space program. They have tech we thought wouldn’t be possible for centuries. When Gary McKinnon hacked the Pentagon he found a list of non-terrestrial navy officers.
It doesn’t surprise me at all that they are able to do this in 2025. I assume they figured it out decades ago and it’s finally being implemented.
So OP someone should hack it and make it publically available would hurt oil industry while bringing down cost of international commerce and goods
