Heutzutage konzentriert sich dieses Targeting viel stärker auf die persönlichen Gewohnheiten der Amerikaner und darauf, was sie auf ihren Telefonen und Computern sehen, und erstellt im Wesentlichen ein digitales Profil jedes Amerikaners. Es begann mit gezielter Werbung für kommerzielle Produkte, aber in den späteren Jahren wird es nun zur Förderung politischer Propaganda eingesetzt. Sie suchen auf Ihrem Handy etwas zum Thema Flugzeuge und erhalten jetzt Post-Benachrichtigungen für Area 51? Die Funktionsweise ist sehr seltsam und auch sehr gewollt.
Die Menschen denken, die Erde sei flach, deshalb werden ihnen Videos über die flache Erde aufgedrängt, die ihren Glauben daran noch verstärken. Es handelt sich nicht um gepushte Videos, die etwas dagegen erklären. Das Gleiche passiert mit politischen Gesprächsthemen. Sie möchten nach weiteren Videos von Charlie Kirk suchen und erfahren, wie sie alle auf die Erzählung verweisen. Sie werden keine alternativen Beweise dafür verbreiten, was passiert ist. Das ist das Problem: Die Algorithmen sind so konzipiert, dass sie normale Menschen zur Erzählung zurückführen und sie niemals in Frage stellen.

That’s never gonna happen.
It isn’t just the government pushing propaganda, but this would be a good start. What really needs to be outlawed is „the algorithm“ and the feedback loop it creates. Privacy laws and the end of tracking everything we do would be a great start but we all know that will never happen.

I’ve noticed Mr. Massie increasingly standing out from the crowd (all of Congress). Up to this point, that observation made me believe he wouldn’t survive re-election.

This is an interesting choice. Looks like Massie might have stared into the abyss and realized if we want to come out the other side somewhat intact, then we have to make changes PRONTO! Makes you wonder what he knows.

As we’ve seen since 2020 Thomas Massie might be one of the only politicians we have on our side. With that being said I think this is is almost worthless because what constitutes propaganda ? Who decides ?
only problem is, it’s lip service. The problem is not a few politicians, its the wealthy handlers/backers. As long as we have a society where some people make enough money to give MILLIONS AWAY TO A DAMN POLITICIAN, nothing will change. I capitalized that to hopefully let it sink in. Nobody gives away that kind of money without expecting something in return. These are the people more directly responsible for propaganda machines and since they are directly linked to the government, a law such as this will go right on the books next to the tax code. Something that is very different from how it reads if you can afford a team of pros to read it for you.
