      A) If the roles were reversed where the Democrats were in control and needed to get the GOP to help, we all know that the GOP would not only be doing the same thing, but also be doing a better PR job than the Democrats are doing

      B) The GOP really doesn’t want to do anything that will actually benefit the American people.

      C) The Democrats need this to be the preverbal hill they start making a stand on. Or at least start or learn to grow a spine and actually counterbalance Trump/GOP

      If Schumer is callous for voting against opening the government, then what does that make the republicans who refuse to extend ACA subsidies?

      They should announce what their demands grow to as this progresses.

      Republicans are just making the medicine harder to take the longer they harm the people.

      I love how no one mentions that the Republicans are the reason the government can even shut down i. The first place. They changed the rules so this can happen. NO OTHER COUNTRY DOES THIS.

      I was listening to the radio earlier and they were talking about the shut down. One host asked why it’s going on and other just said „Hey let’s not get political here“ made a joke and moved on.

      My guy, YOU brought up the shut down and when your coworker asked WHY its happening you change the conversation.

      The GOP can end the shutdown at any time by either negotiating with the democrats to get them on board to pass the bill OR by going nuclear and removing the filibuster. 

      That they won’t do either is why they are losing the in the court of public opinion. Either they are so weak that the minority party can shut down the govt against the GOPs will or they want the shutdown to continue so America is incredibly harmed by this debacle. 

      My money is on the latter but they want to blame the democrats. They can’t do that. They don’t have the messaging apparatus to spin this. When MTG is at odd with the White House, it signifies cracks in the MAGA base. The Dems need to continue fighting for our affordable health care so Americans can continue to live happy and productive lives.

      Good, let them die mad. Mike Johnson is still refusing to seat a Democrat in Congress because she will be the last vote needed to release the Epstein files. I don’t give a fuck what a bunch of cons think Democrats need to do to appease them.

      Once the airports are essentially unusable the Republicans will cave to doing the bare minimum on healthcare, which is all Democrats are asking.

      I think repubs are waiting until they can justify removing every dem from office to get the shutdown ended. They don’t care who suffers in the interim.
